Basic Winged Eyeliner Tutorial

I'm always asked "Omg How did you do that to your eyes? How do you do your makeup?" etc.. Which sometimes I wonder why because the winged eye look is very common . Anywhos.. I decided to do a tutorial for it :)

1. I first line my eye from the start of my pupil to the end of my top lashline.
2. Next I make a line going from the lashline, up to as long as I want it to go.
3. Then I connect the two lines making a bit of a triangle shape
4. I just fill it in then connect the line from the middle of the lid to the tearduct.
5. Now I heard that drawing the lines like this at the tearduct was a trick used by Marilyn Monroe. Once I learned this, I only line my eyes using this method. Anywho, I then "square" off the lines a bit. Fill it in and finish the eye however I want to look that day.

In this look I connected the bottom and top lashline in the outer corner and put some bronze eyeshadow. Also lined my waterline & put on Ardell lashes.

-Thats the first tutorial I've ever done so hopefully it was somewhat helpful.

Review: Rimmel London's Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Eyeliner

Hey hey! So I said I'd have my reviews be done on a friday, but I'm going on a mini-vacay this weekend so I figured I'd get it done now  :)

I've been using this liquid eyeliner for a few months now and absolutely adore it and use it everyday. So i figured why not do a review!
 :D

Now I've been looking for a fine-tipped, perfect-for-detail eyeliner for awhile. I've either found that the applicators for the liner were a little too thick for my liking or the quality wasnt just right. For example: Palladio's Felt-tip Eyeliner Pen. It's actually not that bad. When I bought it , I thought  " Finally! I've found the perfect eyeliner to meet all my dramatic and
not-so-dramatic needs!". However, after about 2 weeks, the pen dried up on me and was basically rendered useless. Also, the tip wasnt fine enough, small but not just right lol

This task wasn't easy.. or cheap.

But now, I've discovered Rimmel London's Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Eyeliner
Color is called: Black Glamour

This tube has lasted me a couple of months so far and is still kickin.
The brush is very fine and glides so smoothly. Perfect for details!

Here's a look I decided to do to show it off hehee

So there ya go, This liner is close to perfect for me. I'm guilty of falling asleep in my makeup often and even the morning after the liner has never budged. It's great for casual or dramatic looks. Perfect size. I just love this one all around.

Eyeshadow For Your Eyecolor!

For those who have no clue really how to do your own makeup a good start is to get some basic information. Now I dont believe in putting limitations of makeup, I feel its self-expression and art. But for those on the more conservative side or just need some basic looks for work, It's good to go with something more toned down or practical.

Review Friday: Maybelline's Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner in Sapphire

Hey hey! Alas is it friday! Which  means I get to rant or rave about a product and this week....it's a rave!

I'm so corny.

Anywhozers...  This is a gel liner by Maybelline Eye Studio in Sapphire.
It's a beautiful deep blue.

There's a tad bit of an iridescent-like sparkle. Nothing dramatic however that doesn't take away from its lure. <3

In the package comes the eyeliner applicator which I'm not entirely fond of. I think it's a little too thick. It's relatively small but when I do my eyeliner I want the line even and precise. I feel with this applicator it makes the lines a little too big for my taste plus it doesn't really distribute the gel evenly. Which unless you're buying expensive brushes is to be expected.

You can get this at the local drugstore:
CVS , Walgreens, Duane Reade, etc. It was around 8$

I swatched it next to a black pencil eyeliner to show the difference of it's hue. Alone when applied in layers the gel liner can look so deep that it may seem black. But the dfference is more significant in certain lights.

So I think this color is lovely and the quality is great. I choose to use a smaller applicator when I'm doing specific "outside the norm" looks but for casual looks depending on your style,  I would say  I'd rate the applicater an 8 out of 10.
